Early voting has started in Leander’s 2024 General and Special Election.
Elections are under way for City Council, appraisal districts and two propositions. We’ve received requests for a voter guide like we’ve offered in previous elections, so here it is.
LEANDER MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
In the City of Leander, there are four incumbents running for re-election for Mayor, City Council Place 2, Place 4, and Place 6.
We endorse and recommend re-electing all four of the current incumbent candidates for office:
- Mayor Christine DeLisle (website, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit)
- Place 2 Esmeralda Mattke Longoria (website, Facebook, Instagram)
- Place 4 Na’Cole Thompson (website, Facebook, Instagram)
- Place 6 Becki Ross (website, Facebook)
Make a plan and vote early now, or on election day:
- Early voting: April 22-27, 29-30
- Election day: May 4th
WILCO APPRAISAL DISTRICT
Residents in Williamson County will also be asked to vote on Williamson County Appraisal District candidates.
While these are not endorsements, we encourage you to learn about the following candidates and make your own decisions. We will actively vote against any of their opponents who have been associated with or funded by local hate groups in previous elections.
PROPOSITIONS
Leander residents will vote on two propositions. Proposition A is Adoption of the Civil Service Law for the Fire Department. Proposition B is Adoption of the Fire and Police Employee Relations Act for the Fire Department.
