Breaking the Glass Ceiling

On March 24th, in celebration of Women’s History Month, IDEAL partnered with Unite Leander to host a joint event focused on lifting women up and “Breaking the Glass Ceiling.”

During the live virtual session, participants heard from Beeville ISD Assistant Superintendent of Innovation and Learning Dr. Tiffany Spicer and Code 42 Chief People Officer Lisa Woodson about their personal journeys and how they champion equity in schools, workplaces and communities.

About our Guest Speakers

Dr. Tiffany Spicer

Tiffany Spicer is an educator who has served in public education for over 16 years. She is passionate about equity, social justice, and preparing all students to reach their fullest potential.

Dr. Spicer has served as a general education and special education teacher, as well as an administrator; Assistant Principal, Associate Principal, Middle School Principal and High School Principal. After campus leadership, she transitioned to central office as Executive Director and Assistant Superintendent.

She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas, Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas State University-San Marcos, Doctorate of Philosophy from Texas A&M University. She currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Innovation in Beeville Independent School District.

Lisa Woodson

Lisa Woodson serves as Chief People Officer for Code42, where she partners with executive leadership on business strategy scaling for growth, and leads all aspects of Code42’s people team. Her priorities are recruiting and developing top talent, driving organizational transformation, and building an inclusive and highly engaged workforce.

Prior to Code42, Lisa served as the Sr. Vice President, Human Resources for HID Global, where she oversaw all facets of human resources globally for more than 4,000 employees in 48 countries. She led the transformation from traditional HR to a technology-enabled, business-focused function, prioritizing the employee experience to drive results. She previously held leadership roles at ION Geophysical, a technology-focused seismic solutions company.

Lisa received her B.S. from the University of San Francisco and her M.S. from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business. She is certified in multiple psychometric assessments and is currently pursuing an executive coaching certification. Lisa’s passion for helping people be their best selves is reflected outside of her workplace where she provides career coaching, advising, and mentoring.
